LOVE YOU MY SWEATY

2023

Fragments of language, discarded objects, and unstable forms gather across the work. Domestic materials, bodily references, and improvised gestures remain partially held together, shifting between humour, discomfort, intimacy, and excess.

Painted surfaces, sculptural fragments, and everyday residue accumulate through repetition and contact. Objects lean, sag, stain, and press against one another, allowing moments of awkwardness and vulnerability to surface without fully resolving. Colour operates both as attraction and disturbance, where playful tones sit alongside forms that appear worn, compressed, or slightly abject.

Developed through sculpture, drawing, and installation, the work approaches the everyday as a space where emotional and material tensions quietly persist. Meaning emerges through proximity, fragmentation, and accumulation rather than fixed narrative or symbolic resolution. Curated by Sara Muthi, with invited artists.
